Job Summary:

The Stores Pharmacist is responsible for effective inventory management, procurement coordination, storage, dispensing control, and ensuring availability of medicines and consumables as per hospital requirements while maintaining compliance with regulatory and NABH standards.

Key Responsibilities: 1. Inventory Management

  • Maintain adequate stock levels of medicines, surgical items, and consumables.
  • Monitor minimum, maximum, and reorder levels.
  • Ensure FEFO (First Expiry First Out) / FIFO system is followed.
  • Conduct regular physical stock verification.
  • Monitor slow-moving, near-expiry, and non-moving items.
  1. Procurement & Vendor Coordination
  • Prepare and process purchase indents.
  • Coordinate with approved vendors for timely supply.
  • Verify purchase invoices with purchase orders and GRN.
  • Ensure rate contract compliance.
  1. Storage & Compliance
  • Ensure proper storage conditions (temperature, humidity monitoring).
  • Maintain cold chain for temperature-sensitive drugs.
  • Maintain narcotic and scheduled drugs register as per Drugs & Cosmetics Act.
  • Ensure compliance with NABH and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain documentation and records properly.
  1. Billing & Documentation
  • Ensure proper entry in inventory management system.
  • Maintain GRN records, issue registers, and stock registers.
  • Maintain expiry records and arrange timely return to vendors.
  1. Coordination
  • Coordinate with IP, OT, Labour Room, NICU, and other departments for timely supply.
  • Support during audits (Internal & NABH).
  • Provide reports on stock status, consumption patterns, and variance.
  1. Quality & Safety
  • Ensure no expired drugs are issued.
  • Monitor look-alike and sound-alike drugs segregation.
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols.
  • Participate in medication safety initiatives.
  1. Additional Responsibility
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.

Qualification:

  • B.Pharm / D.Pharm with valid State Pharmacy Council registration.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in hospital pharmacy/store management

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
