Role Overview:

As a Teacher at RNSIS, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons that cater to diverse learner needs while contributing meaningfully to the school’s academic vision and development plan

Key Responsibilities: Teaching & Learning

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured lessons aligned with curriculum objectives
  • Teach according to the educational needs, abilities, and achievement levels of individual students and groups
  • Use innovative teaching strategies, AV aids, and technology-enabled tools to enhance learning
  • Assign, assess, correct, and provide constructive feedback on student work

Assessment & Reporting

  • Assess, record, and report on students’ academic progress, attainment, behaviour, and development
  • Prepare and contribute to oral and written assessments, reports, and student references

Student Well-Being & Guidance

  • Promote the overall well-being and holistic development of students
  • Provide guidance on educational, social, and career-related matters
  • Liaise with counsellors, special educators, and resource persons to support diverse learning needs

Collaboration & School Engagement

  • Communicate and collaborate with parents/guardians and colleagues in the best interest of students
  • Work closely with the Head of School, Assistant Head, and academic teams in curriculum planning and development
  • Participate actively in staff meetings, assemblies, school events, and co-curricular activities Professional Growth & Responsibility
  • Review and evaluate your own teaching methodologies and classroom practices
  • Engage in In-Service Training and Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
  • Maintain high standards of professional conduct, classroom discipline, and student safety
  • Ensure proper use and safe custody of classroom and teaching equipment
  • Register and monitor student attendance diligently
