Planning Engineer (Solar EPC)
🔧 Role Overview

You will be responsible for turning project plans into real execution roadmaps, identifying risks early, and pushing teams toward timely delivery.
🎯 Key Responsibilities

- Develop detailed project schedules for solar EPC projects (rooftop & utility-scale) using tools like Primavera / MS Project
- Define activity sequencing, dependencies, and critical path
- Prepare and maintain baseline schedules for all projects
📈 Progress Monitoring & Control
- Track daily site progress against planned schedules
- Update project timelines and highlight schedule variance
- Identify delays, bottlenecks, and potential risks proactively
- Drive corrective actions in coordination with project teams
🤝 Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, and execution teams to align timelines
- Ensure material delivery, approvals, and site readiness match project schedules
- Flag misalignment early instead of reacting after delays
📑 Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and share: Daily Progress Reports (DPR)
- Weekly Progress Reports (WPR)
- Monthly Progress Reports (MPR)
- Maintain proper documentation for tracking project performance and audit readiness
⚙️ Resource Planning
- Plan and monitor deployment of manpower, materials, and equipment
- Ensure optimal resource utilization across multiple projects
- Identify resource gaps and escalate proactively
📉 Performance Analysis
- Analyze project performance metrics (schedule variance, productivity, delays)
- Recommend data-driven corrective and preventive actions
- Support project managers in execution strategy and recovery planning
📌 Requirements
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil)
- Experience: 2–5 years in Planning for EPC / Infrastructure / Solar projects
- Tools: Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera P6 and advanced Excel
- Domain Knowledge: Understanding of solar project lifecycle (design → procurement → installation → commissioning)
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset
