🚨 Hiring: Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

📍 Location: Dharwad

💰 Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month (Based on experience)

About Us

We are a growing precision manufacturing company specializing in CNC machining of engineering components such as pins, bushes, and custom machined parts. Our focus is on high-quality standards, process improvement, and reliable production for industrial customers.

We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer / Executive with experience in machining inspection, hardness testing, and quality documentation.

Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Inspection

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of machined components.
  • Ensure parts meet engineering drawings, tolerances, and customer specifications.
  • Conduct first-piece inspection and batch inspection.

Measuring Instruments

Use and maintain precision inspection tools such as:

  • Vernier Caliper
  • Micrometer (OD / ID)
  • Height Gauge
  • Bore Gauge
  • Dial Indicator
  • Thread Gauges
  • Surface Plate

Heat Treatment & Hardness Testing

  • Verify heat-treated components according to specifications.
  • Conduct hardness testing using:
  • BHN (Brinell Hardness Tester)
  • Vickers Hardness Tester
  • Understand processes such as hardening, tempering, and induction hardening.

Metallurgy Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of steel properties and metallurgy.
  • Ability to identify issues related to hardness variation, microstructure changes, cracks, and heat treatment defects.

Quality Documentation

Maintain and update quality documents including:

  • Incoming inspection reports
  • In-process inspection reports
  • Final inspection reports
  • Hardness test reports
  • Rejection and scrap records
  • Control Plan
  • PFD (Process Flow Diagram)
  • SOP (Standard Operating Procedures)

Problem Solving & Improvement

  • Perform 5 Why / Root Cause Analysis for quality issues.
  • Work with production teams to reduce rejection and improve process stability.
  • Support Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy Engineering
  • 1–5 years experience in machining quality or manufacturing quality
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
  • Knowledge of CNC machining components and heat treatment inspection preferred
  • Experience with quality documentation and inspection reports
