Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant with proven experience in the hospitality industry (hotel/restaurant). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, preparing Profit & Loss statements, generating sales performance reports, and overseeing cost control processes to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

This role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with hospitality accounting practices, and the ability to work closely with operations teams to drive profitability.

Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & P&L; Management

  • Prepare and present monthly Profit & Loss (P&L;) statements for management review
  • Analyze revenue, cost of goods sold (COGS), and operational expenses
  • Identify variances and provide detailed explanations with corrective action recommendations
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support month-end closing activities

Sales Reporting & Revenue Analysis

  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance reports
  • Monitor outlet-wise revenue trends and highlight performance gaps
  • Reconcile POS sales with accounting records
  • Track discounts, voids, and promotional impact on revenue

Cost Control & Inventory Management

  • Monitor food and beverage cost percentages
  • Conduct periodic inventory audits (food, beverage, and supplies)
  • Analyze stock movement, wastage, and shrinkage
  • Ensure accurate stock valuation and reconciliation
  • Work closely with operations and procurement teams to control costs

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in annual budgeting and financial forecasting
  • Monitor budget vs. actual performance
  • Support cash flow planning and working capital management

Compliance & Record Keeping

  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, etc. as applicable)
  • Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits
  • Ensure proper internal financial controls are maintained

Requirements

  • Proven accounting experience in the hospitality industry (Hotel / Restaurant / QSR)
  • Strong knowledge of P&L; preparation, MIS reporting, and financial analysis
  • Hands-on experience in food & beverage cost control and inventory management
  • Experience working with POS systems and accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Zoho, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
  • Good communication and coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
  • CA Inter / CMA / MBA Finance (preferred but not mandatory)
  • 3–6 years of relevant hospitality accounting experience

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
