SEM/E-Commerce Specialist

As a SEM/E-Commerce Specialist at U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP), you will play a strategic role in collaborating on digital campaign and channel strategies. Your primary focus will be on marketing on an e-commerce site, search engine marketing (SEM), and AI engine optimization. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with marketing teams to execute campaigns promoting USP products and services on the USP store, in alignment with digital marketing, global comms, product, IT, and other cross-functional partners.
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to increase traffic, conversion rates, and customer retention on the USP store.
  • Enhancing user experience (UX) to improve visibility, search, and findability, contributing to sustainable growth and brand enhancement.
  • Cross-promoting products and services, ensuring a seamless customer experience across all USP channels.

In terms of Search Engine Marketing, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and scaling SEM campaigns across platforms like Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, including keyword research, ad copywriting, bid management, and performance analysis.
  • Aligning paid search strategies with broader marketing goals in collaboration with content, analytics, and product teams.
  • Supporting the execution of multi-region and multi-language SEM strategies aligned with USP product verticals and business priorities.

You will also be expected to:

  • Utilize analytics tools to track customer journey and monitor e-commerce platform KPIs, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Monitor SEM performance metrics, optimize daily for revenue and efficiency, and document processes, optimizations, and insights to strengthen team knowledge.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in multi-channel digital marketing, SEM, and some understanding of SEO.
  • Demonstrated success in improving e-commerce platform performance through various KPIs.
  • Expertise with tools like Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Google Analytics, SEMrush, and more.
  • Strong analytical, reporting skills, and proficiency in GA4, Adobe Analytics, and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Desired preferences include Google Ads and LinkedIn Business Manager certification, as well as experience with AI-driven ad tools or automation platforms.
