Structural Simulation Engineer

As a Simulation Engineer at Aptiv, you will be responsible for executing structural analysis of various connection systems products using Abaqus/ANSYS software. Your role will involve collaborating closely with product engineers to provide recommendations for product optimization and delivering qualitative analysis reports on time.
- Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct static, transient, linear, nonlinear, modal, harmonic, random, shock, drop & structural analysis using ABAQUS/ANSYS solvers.
- Generate finite element models for ABAQUS/ANSYS solvers, including assembly, definition of boundary conditions, and quality checks.
- Perform post-processing, result interpretation, and verification of Finite Element Analysis results using hand calculation and other analytical methods.
- Generate reports, discuss results with product engineers, and share recommendations to ensure product optimization.
- Work on project execution efficiency and effectiveness improvements to meet deadlines.
- Qualifications Required:**
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical / Automobile / Mechatronics Engineering; Masters in Engineering Design.
- Minimum 3 or more years of experience in the automotive structural analysis domain.
- Hands-on skills in structural analysis using Abaqus/Ansys software.
- Proven skills in Automotive connector / Automotive Product validation.
- Strong foundation in Plastic material properties, Solid Mechanics, Strength of Material & Mechanical Vibrations.
- Competence in manufacturing feasibility skills and its application.
