The DAV Group - Chennai, functioning under the aegis of Tamil Nadu Arya Samaj Educational Society was established in 1970 at Gopalapuram in Chennai with just 50 students. The Group today, caters to over 40,000 students across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. It has a staff of 1500 plus which includes 1,200 teachers. Four of our branches have been consistently ranked amongst top 15 schools in the country.

In addition to K-12 schooling, DAV has recently ventured into Higher Education with DAV-SMK Fomra College of Arts & Science at Kelambakkam, Chennai.

In this context, we would be interested in recruiting suitable candidates for the position of TGT2 Science Teacher to teach Classes 9&10. The teacher will deliver science lessons that help students build strong conceptual understanding and encourage scientific thinking and curiosity.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Science with relevant major subjects (e.g. Botany, Zoology, Chemistry or other appropriate combination)
• Professional teaching qualification (e.g. B.Ed. or equivalent) as per school/board requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver science lessons (theory and practical concepts) for Classes 6–8.
• Prepare teaching materials, assignments / experiments / demonstrations; conduct assessments and evaluate student performance.
• Provide extra support / remedial help to students who need assistance.
• Maintain class records including attendance, academic performance and progress.
• Create and maintain a supportive, inclusive and disciplined classroom environment.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff for academic coordination and school activities
