Senior Automation Test Engineer

About the role

The Senior Automation Test Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. This position focuses on designing and executing test cases, implementing automation strategies, and actively participating in Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases for various applications.
• Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks using Playwright or Selenium.
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman and REST Assured.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and improve testing processes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify, document, and track defects in a detailed and timely manner.
• Mentor junior testers and provide guidance on best practices in test automation.

Required qualifications

• 2-9 years of experience in software testing and automation.
• Proficiency in test case design and execution.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman and REST Assured.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright or Selenium.

Nice to have

• Experience with performance testing tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB).
