Role Overview

Harvey is building AI-native software for professional services. Our customers trust us with some of the world's most sensitive information, making security fundamental to everything we build. As Harvey continues to scale, we're looking for a Head of Product Security to define how security is embedded into our engineering organization—not as a gatekeeper, but as an engineering capability that enables teams to build quickly and securely.

As Head of Product Security, you will define and execute Harvey's product security strategy. Working closely with Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, and Security leadership, you'll translate Harvey's risk appetite into clear engineering expectations, security standards, and technical guardrails that scale with the company.

You'll build and lead a team of Product Security Engineers embedded across our product and platform organizations. Each engineer will own a portion of Harvey's production surface, becoming the trusted security partner for their teams—helping shape architecture, influence design decisions, build security tooling, and occasionally write code to solve security challenges. Your team will be the bridge between Engineering and the broader Security organization, ensuring security is built into the product from the start.

What You'll Do

• Build and lead Harvey's Product Security organization, hiring and developing a high-performing team.
• Define the security standards and engineering practices that protect Harvey's products and customer data.
• Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to embed security into architecture, development, and delivery.
• Translate business risk into practical technical guidance that enables engineering teams to move quickly and securely.
• Drive security through engineering by investing in automation, developer tooling, and secure-by-default platforms.
• Serve as the executive security partner for Product and Engineering, helping prioritize security investments and navigate technical tradeoffs.

What You Have

• Experience leading Product Security or Application Security teams at a high-growth technology company.
• Strong engineering background with deep expertise in modern application security and cloud-native architectures.
• A track record of building engineering-first security programs that scale through influence, tooling, and partnerships—not process alone.
• Experience hiring, mentoring, and developing exceptional security engineers and technical leaders.
• The ability to influence executives while earning credibility with senior engineers through sound technical judgment.

Compensation

$285,000 - $ 350,000 USD
