About the Role

We are seeking Norwegian Transcription Experts to support AI language technology projects through accurate transcription, linguistic annotation, and structured review of audio and video content.

You’ll apply your Norwegian language expertise to produce high-fidelity written transcripts, annotate speech segments, identify unclear or ambiguous content, and help maintain consistent linguistic and formatting standards. The role requires strong attention to detail, reliable communication, and careful handling of confidential information.

No prior AI experience is required. Your language expertise and ability to produce accurate, contextually appropriate work are what matter most.

What You’ll Do

• Accurately transcribe Norwegian audio and video content into written text.

• Review and edit transcripts to maintain high standards for linguistic accuracy, spelling, punctuation, and formatting.

• Annotate and categorize speech segments according to project-specific guidelines.

• Identify unclear, ambiguous, or difficult-to-understand audio and provide appropriate context or suggested interpretations where necessary.

• Use transcription, audio editing, or linguistic annotation tools as required.

• Collaborate with project coordinators and other experts to clarify requirements and maintain consistency.

• Provide feedback on transcription guidelines and workflows to improve accuracy and efficiency.

• Handle confidential project information securely and follow applicable data privacy requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in Norwegian.

• Exceptional command of Norwegian grammar, spelling, punctuation, and written language.

• Proven experience in transcription, linguistic annotation, or a related language-focused discipline.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce precise, contextually accurate work.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work consistently and meet project milestones in a remote environment.

• Ability to adapt to project-specific guidelines and incorporate feedback.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with transcription tools.

• Experience using audio editing software.

• Experience with linguistic annotation platforms.

• Previous experience working on language, transcription, or data-focused projects.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain consistent quality across high volumes of language content.
