Fastest-growing employers

A "hottest companies" list built from something we can actually measure: net roles added, from our own crawl of company career pages. Not valuation, not funding — advertised demand, which is the number that matters when you are the one job-hunting.

Net removing roles

Closures outpaced openings here over the window. This is usually roles being filled, not a pullback — it is not a layoff signal. See the layoffs tracker for that.

How this is measured

From OnJob's own crawl: each listing carries the date we first saw it and the date it left the employer's careers page. Net change is opened minus closed over the observed window. Ingestion days — the first crawl of a source, when everything looks new — are excluded, so the momentum reflects real movement.

It measures advertised demand, not confirmed headcount: a closed listing could have been filled, cancelled or reposted, and from outside the company those look identical. Free to reuse with attribution under CC BY 4.0.

Questions

Which tech companies are growing their headcount fastest right now?

By net roles added across our observed crawl window, Fivetran leads — it opened 69 roles and closed 9 for a net of +60. It is followed by Elastic (+35), OpenAI (+22), Agoda (+22), Twilio (+16). "Net roles added" means new listings minus listings that disappeared, measured from our own crawl — it tracks advertised demand, not confirmed headcount.

How is "fastest-growing" measured here?

Every crawl stamps each listing with when we first saw it and, once it drops off the employer's careers page, when it closed. A company's net change is roles opened minus roles closed over the observed window. This is deliberately different from a valuation- or funding-based "hottest company" list: it reflects what employers are actually advertising, which is the signal that matters if you are looking for a job rather than an investment.

Does a company closing roles mean it is doing badly?

No. A closed listing usually means the role was filled — the opposite of trouble. That is why the "cooling" list below is framed as net role removal, not as a layoff signal, and why we pair momentum with each company's current open-role count: a large employer clearing a hiring backlog looks the same in raw closures as a small one pulling back, and only the standing volume tells them apart.

Why do the names change between visits?

Because it is a live, short window measured from a crawl that is still young. As the observation history lengthens the ranking will stabilise and short-term noise will matter less. Until then, treat this as a current reading of momentum, not a settled leaderboard.
