Listings by country. We crawl global employers as well as Indian ones, so India is a large slice rather than the whole pie.

How this is counted
Every listing is crawled from the employer's own careers page or applicant tracking system, then its location string is normalised: spelling variants merged, campus suffixes stripped, and non-places rejected.
Denominator: 826 of 5,780 India listings name no resolvable city and are excluded from the city ranking. Percentages on this page use the 4,954 listings that do.

Which city has the most tech jobs in India?
Bangalore leads with 2,112 open listings on OnJob in July 2026, followed by Hyderabad (547), Mumbai (447), Pune (427), Noida (332). The top three cities account for 63% of all India listings that name a city — India's tech hiring is heavily concentrated, and that concentration is the single most important fact for anyone deciding where to move for work.
How many Indian cities have open tech jobs?
187 Indian cities have at least one open listing in the current feed, from 5,780 India roles overall. The long tail is real but thin: most cities outside the top ten carry single-digit counts, which is why we only build dedicated city pages where there is genuine standing inventory.
Do these counts include remote jobs?
Yes, where the listing names a city as well as being remote — 451 of the 5,780 India listings are tagged remote or work-from-home. Listings whose only location is "Remote" or "Hybrid" are not counted in any city, because those are work modes rather than places. 826 India listings carry no resolvable city and sit outside the city ranking entirely.
Why does Bangalore sometimes appear as Bengaluru?
Employers spell it both ways, and our feed has carried at least eight variants including "Bengaluru", "BANGALORE", "Bangalore Urban", "India - Bangalore" and campus-suffixed forms like "Bengaluru-VTP". We fold all of them into one entry so the ranking reflects the city rather than the employer's formatting. The same normalisation merges Gurugram with Gurgaon and New Delhi with Delhi.
