About the Role

We are seeking experienced Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) professionals at Level II or Level III with strong expertise in radiographic testing, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, penetrant testing, and weld inspection.

You’ll analyze inspection imagery and test indications, apply code-based acceptance criteria, and provide technically supported disposition recommendations. The role requires extensive practical experience interpreting NDT data and applying applicable industry codes and standards across regulated engineering environments.

No prior AI experience is required. Your NDT expertise and ability to clearly explain technical judgments are the primary qualifications.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze and interpret radiographic testing (RT) images and inspection results.

• Review ultrasonic testing (UT) and phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) scans and identify relevant indications.

• Evaluate magnetic particle (MT) and penetrant testing (PT) indications.

• Review inspection data and provide detailed written and verbal evaluations based on applicable codes and standards.

• Apply weld defect acceptance criteria to make technically supported accept/reject or disposition recommendations.

• Evaluate thermographic imagery and remote visual inspection (RVI) footage when applicable.

• Produce clear, concise technical reports documenting inspection findings, rationale, and recommended actions.

• Collaborate asynchronously with technical professionals to resolve complex or ambiguous indications.

• Apply industry best practices and evolving compliance requirements to improve inspection evaluation processes.

What We’re Looking For

• Active ASNT or ISO 9712 NDT Level II or Level III certification in relevant methods such as RT, UT/PAUT, MT, or PT.

• 8+ years of direct experience interpreting radiographs, ultrasonic/PAUT scans, MT/PT indications, and related NDT data.

• Experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, or other highly regulated industrial environments.

• Thorough working knowledge of applicable US and international standards, including:

  • ASME Section V, VIII, and XI

  • API 510, 570, and 653

  • API 1104

  • AWS D1.1

• Strong expertise in code-based weld defect acceptance criteria and accept/reject determinations.

• Ability to analyze complex or ambiguous inspection indications and document the technical rationale for conclusions.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work objectively and independently on remote projects while maintaining high-quality technical standards.

Preferred Experience

Experience evaluating thermography or Remote Visual Inspection (RVI) data is a plus.

Engagement & Compensation

• Contractor engagement.

• Remote work, with US-based professionals preferred.

• $70–$110 per hour.

• Annual compensation equivalent of $134,400–$211,200 based on 40 hours per week across 48 workable weeks. This is an annualized full-time equivalent and does not represent guaranteed annual earnings.
