We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join our team. This is a Hybrid role, reporting to the Senior Manager in the Procurement department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT procurement and negotiation across various segments of IT infrastructure, with a proven track record of executing cost-effective procurement strategies in a high-growth technology environment. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams in Cloud Operations, IT, and Engineering to develop a procurement strategy that meets their needs.
What You’ll Do (Role Expectations)
- Execute a global procurement strategy for Cloud Infrastructure requirements including servers, networking equipment, peripherals, colocation, and bandwidth services aligned with organizational growth requirements
- Partner with internal Cloud Operations and Engineering teams to understand their needs, establish an approved supplier list to enhance efficiency and cost optimization, and advise end users on cost-effective suppliers
- Conduct market research and benchmark suppliers against performance metrics to ensure logistic and cost efficiency while providing strategic procurement recommendations
- Oversee the competitive bidding process for identified procurement opportunities, collaborate with the Legal team on vendor contracts, and ensure local sourcing conforms to global policies
- Address supplier performance issues as necessary and keep end-users informed about potential risks or external influences affecting their requirements

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 6-8 years of extensive hands-on working experience in IT & Cloud Infrastructure procurement, with demonstrated strategic and tactical domain knowledge
- Experience in managing IT infrastructure, colocation, and bandwidth requirements for cloud environments
- Execution-focused mindset with a persistent drive for results using sound project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical thinking skills with the ability to quickly analyze data and transform it into meaningful insights
- Proven day-to-day project management skills and an ability to anticipate organizational needs proactively
- Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with Cloud Operations, IaaS, and PaaS, alongside a track record of building strong relationships with ISPs and colocation service providers
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, influence at all levels, and share constructive feedback
- Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of management, show initiative, exercise mature judgment, and maintain a superior customer service orientation
