Your role
We’re looking for a strategic and highly analytical Demand Planner (all genders) to support our forecasting efforts. In this pivotal role, you'll be the force behind our demand planning, translating complex data into precise forecasts that optimize inventory, support strategic growth, and ensure our business runs smoothly. What you'll do:
- Business Acumen: Develop and maintain sophisticated demand forecasts, leveraging statistical models and market intelligence. This requires a deep understanding of market trends, competition, and how our business operates.
- Collaboration: Partner across the organization with sales, marketing, and finance to gather critical business inputs for a unified forecast. You'll build and maintain effective working relationships with diverse teams to ensure all plans are aligned.
- Decision Quality: Drive key improvements in forecast accuracy and process efficiency. You'll use rigorous analysis, wisdom, and judgment to make sound decisions that impact the business and its operational goals.
- Process Management: Act as a key player in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, and financial goals. You will be responsible for defining and optimizing the forecasting process itself.
- Dealing with Ambiguity: Lead the demand planning process in a dynamic environment, making informed decisions and acting effectively even when you don't have all the information. You can comfortably handle risk and uncertainty and guide others through it.
- Developing Others: Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing expertise and best practices. You'll be a resource for others, helping to improve their functional and technical skills.
Your profile
- You have at least 2+ years of experience in demand planning or supply chain management, with a proven track record of improving forecast accuracy in a manufacturing or FMCG environment - this is a must-have for the role.
- It's a big plus if you have worked in the supplement, aromatherapy, cosmetics, wellness, or a similar product-driven environment.
- Functional/Technical Skills: You're an expert at translating forecasts into efficient operations, aligning with key stakeholders, and ensuring products are available at the right time without overstock or shortages.
- You hold a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- You're confident working with ERP systems like Odoo, SAP. Oracle and you're highly proficient with forecasting and inventory planning tools.
