In this role as a Senior Partner Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership across Commercial and Product Partnership teams, supporting large cross-functional programs. You will represent Affirm’s engineering team and technologies to partners, such as Shopify and Stripe, while helping drive technical + business strategy. This role entails operational support for ad hoc partner requests, collaborating with engineering teams on solution design, and managing the execution of long-term initiatives. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a culture of engineering excellence and innovation, unafraid to roll up their sleeves with engineers with a proven track record of delivering results.
What You'll Do
- Develop detailed project plans, including: solution design, timeline estimation, task break-down, and testing plan.
- Provide day to day support for technical questions from external partner stakeholders
- Develop integration support material and documentation for new products, rollouts and features
- Serves as an overarching SME and point of escalation for internal and external teams facing technical challenges
- Make recommendations on integration strategy, platform evolution, infrastructure, and tooling selection to optimize user experience
- Explore the business intersection between our commercial strategy and technical Partnership capabilities
- Contribute to the internal development of pertinent external documentation to strengthen the overall partnership experience
What We Look For
- 4+ years experience in a Solutions Engineering, Partner Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Account Management, Solutions Architecture, or any other customer-facing engineering role
- Ability to read and understand multiple programming languages
- Experience with Ecommerce technologies and data models
- Experience and understanding of JSON, HTML, REST API, and Webhook technologies
- Familiarity with the following concepts: integrating UX elements w/ backend services, frameworks, and 3rd party developer APIs
- Experience with alerting and monitoring tools and applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong project management skills, capable of influencing internal and external stakeholders to stay on schedule
- Passion and drive to change consumer banking for the better
- Nice to have: experience and understanding of various Partner Types (e.g. Ecommerce Platforms, Payment Processors, Payment Gateways, and Wallets)
Pay Grade - L
Equity Grade - 4
Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.
Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents). In addition, the employees may be eligible for equity rewards offered by Affirm Holdings, Inc. (parent company).
CAN base pay range per year: $133,000 - $183,000
