Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

As an Asset Intelligence Manager, you will own governance and operational excellence of enterprise asset and configuration data.

You will aggregate, normalize, and govern asset data from multiple sources while ensuring CMDB integrity aligned to ITIL practices. Focus includes maintaining CMDB health using the 3 Cs framework: Completeness, Correctness, and Compliance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own CMDB lifecycle aligned with ITIL processes.
• Ensure integrity of Configuration Items (CIs) and relationships.
• Report on CMDB quality and level of governance compliance.
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reporting.
• Drive audit and process improvements with the delivery owner.
• Integrate data from multiple inventory or configuration management sources.
• Design data pipelines and normalize asset data.
• Identify and resolve CI hygiene issues.
• Configure tools such as ServiceNow, Syncfish, Intune, Jamf, Lansweeper when required.
• Manage cloud asset data and tagging across AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Ensuring that all IT assets that are in BCG environment regardless of software or hardware and if they are on prem or in the cloud are discovered, inventoried and accurate.
• Work with different teams to ensure that you have the right access to the environment to discover all IT assets.
• Perform daily and long-term operational and strategic management of hardware and software
• Ensuring quality control throughout the lifecycle of discovering all company IT assets by developing and implementing appropriate procedures to track and manage them.
• Duties involve managing and maintaining databases and records of information of discovered IT assets
• Provide KPI/Metric information and standardized reporting on a scheduled basis together with unscheduled reporting demanded by management
• Manage inventory of CIs and assets, including dependencies and attributes), making sure that modifications, withdrawals, and additions of existing ones are correctly recorded
• Design processes relating to software and hardware asset management, execute and enhance them
• Ensure process efficiency by implementing the key performance indicators; suggest improvements to the process continuously
• Establish and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset and configuration management

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Computer Science degree or similar.
• ITIL certification and experience with lifecycle processes.
• Experience in ITAM or CMDB related roles.
• ServiceNow certification or similar ITSM.
• Experience integrating multiple data sources.
• Knowledge of public cloud providers and behaviors of microservices.
• Understanding of IaC or CI/CD tools.
• Strong knowledge of IT software and hardware as well as five or more years’ experience working as an IT asset analyst
• Experience managing staff
• Strong knowledge and two years plus experience working with a CMDB and the specific business services that it supports
• Experience in ITSM tool experience, as well as ServiceNow experience
• Proven ability and experience in executing strategic asset management processes successfully
• Profound knowledge of licensing agreements involving software
• Strong knowledge of IT Service Management processes, as well as experience with Discovery tool
• Possess Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or business administration, or in other related field
• Strong ability to carry out assigned tasks independently with little supervision
• Excellent at performing multiple tasks at the same time without erring
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Possess IAITAM Certification, such as CHAMP, CSAM, and CITAM.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

GOOD TO HAVE

• API and network-based application dependency mapping.
• Business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR) frameworks.
• Experience with data pipelines and analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of security frameworks (ISO, NIST).
• Worked in an Agile/Scrum team.
