Snowflake is transforming the future of data and we are looking for a dynamic Sr. Manager, Technical Delivery to lead our Snowflake Professional Services team. As strategic experts in implementing the Snowflake platform, we engage with customers to optimize, accelerate, and drive meaningful business outcomes through cutting-edge technology solutions including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI (GenAI).

As a Delivery Manager, you will lead teams executing complex migrations from legacy systems to the Snowflake platform. Your role will involve close collaboration with customers and system integrators to understand requirements, design robust migration strategies, oversee seamless transitions, and act as a strategic advisor to your customers. Your leadership will ensure that Snowflake is positioned as the premier solution in data warehousing and analytics, influencing both technical and executive stakeholders.

AS A DELIVERY MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:

  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of Solutions Architects and Consultants, who serve as our Snowflake implementation, optimization, development and delivery experts
  • Play an active role in sourcing and screening potential candidates and managing the interview process
  • Be a technical expert on all aspects of Snowflake
  • Provide delivery quality oversight and guidance for Snowflake engagements by ensuring adherence to technical and delivery best practices
  • Oversee the successful design, implementation, and deployment of complex AI and Generative AI (GenAI) solutions leveraging the Snowflake platform
  • Work with Professional Services Practice Directors and Sales Account Team on sales pursuits. Lead project scoping, performing code assessments, pricing services, creating statements of work, and providing strategic guidance on productionalizing AI and GenAI use cases
  • Develop methodologies to improve our services delivery
  • Provide guidance on how to resolve customer-specific technical challenges
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve Snowflake’s products and marketing
  • Present our methodologies, capabilities to both internal teams, external partners and customers

OUR IDEAL DELIVERY MANAGER WILL HAVE:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience working with customers in a pre-sales or post-sales technical role
  • Minimum 5 years of people management experience; experience mentoring, coaching and developing teams
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in selling professional services; scoping large projects, writing statements of work
  • Proven experience guiding enterprise customers on data strategies for building, deploying, and operationalizing GenAI engagements
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with large-scale database technology (e.g. Oracle, Teradata, Netezza, Greenplum, etc.)
  • Experience with non-relational platforms and tools for large-scale data processing (e.g. Hadoop, HBase)
  • Familiarity and experience with common data integration and data transformation tools (e.g. Informatica, DataStage, Talend, Matillion)
  • Familiarity and experience with common BI and data exploration tools (e.g. Microstrategy, Business Objects, Tableau)
  • University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience
  • Outstanding skills presenting to both technical and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos
  • Understanding of complete data analytics stack and workflow, from ETL to data platform design to BI and analytics tools
  • Ability to mentor and guide technical professionals deploying rapidly evolving features without full grasp of the technical details.
  • Strong skills in databases, data warehouses, and data processing
  • Extensive hands-on expertise with SQL and SQL analytics
  • Experience and track record of success selling data and/or analytics software to enterprise customers; includes proven skills identifying key stakeholders, winning value propositions, and compelling events
  • Scripting experience with Python, Ruby, Perl, Bash
  • Ability and flexibility to travel to work with customers on-site up to 25% of the time
