Tasks
As a Software Engineer in the NVISO Labs team, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing scalable back-end software and services using (mostly) Python.
- Leveraging Azure cloud services such as Functions, App Services, storage, and identity capabilities to build reliable solutions.
- Designing APIs and integrating back-end components with internal and customer-facing platforms where needed.
- Applying sound software engineering practices to deliver maintainable, secure, and production-ready back-end solutions.
- Troubleshooting performance, reliability, and scalability issues across services and cloud-based workloads.
- Identifying bottlenecks and continuously improving the efficiency, resilience, and observability of back-end systems.
Requirements
- You hold citizenship in one of the 32 NATO member states.
- At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer
- A master's degree in computer science or a related technical field
- High proficiency in developing professional Python and/or C# code
- Passionate about best practices regarding reusability, maintainability, security, and testing
- Thorough understanding of computer systems going beyond application development (including operating systems, networking, infrastructure, etc.)
- Experience with Azure-native development, API design, and cloud-based architectures is a plus
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and keep track of your priorities
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills that enable you to work effectively in a collaborative team environment across the entire company
- Positive, team and mission-oriented attitude
- Ability to prepare and present your work to your colleagues
- Team player who works well under occasional pressure
