Alongside our global campuses, we also collaborate with talented contractors and freelancers from all over the world to help us achieve our crazy big goals. While we support flexible, remote-friendly ways of working, for this role we're focusing on Ho Chi Minh City so we can best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing.

This role is a 12-month engagement, working full-time hours.

What you'd be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve. At the moment, this role is focused on:

• Planning, managing, and executing Canva Vietnam's social media strategy and content engine end-to-end, from ideation through publishing, community management, and reporting
• Building a trend-driven content playbook for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and emerging formats, leveraging Vietnamese cultural moments in real time
• Producing the project's initial content library — including on-screen appearances, shooting, editing, and asset creation using Canva
• Localising global campaigns for Vietnamese educators, SMEs, freelancers, and creators to build cultural relevance from day one
• Partnering with the UGC team to build a local creator and influencer network that expands Canva's reach and authenticity
• Setting up a performance measurement framework and delivering a final insights and handover report at the end of the project

You're probably a match if

• You have 3+ years in social media marketing, focused on content creation, growth, and high-performing content, especially on TikTok and Instagram Reels
• You have a deep understanding of Vietnamese digital culture, trends, memes, and the creator ecosystem
• You're a hands-on creator with strong storytelling and visual instincts, comfortable shooting, editing, designing in Canva, publishing, and performing on camera
• You're analytical and structured, with a track record of iterating quickly based on performance data
• You have excellent Vietnamese and English communication skills, and you're highly organised, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment

About the team

We're Canva's on-the-ground marketing team in Vietnam, part of the SEA Expansion group. Our mission is to make Canva feel truly local for Vietnamese educators, SMEs, freelancers, and creators — not just translated. We work closely with the broader Southeast Asia social team to activate this frontier market and build the foundations for long-term, sustainable growth.
