We are a global team of innovators and pioneers dedicated to shaping the future of observability. At New Relic, we build an intelligent platform that empowers companies to thrive in an AI-first world by giving them unparalleled insight into their complex systems. As we continue to expand our global footprint, we're looking for passionate people to join our mission. If you're ready to help the world's best companies optimize their digital applications, we invite you to explore a career with us!

Your opportunity

At New Relic, we believe our platform is only as powerful as the ecosystem it lives in. Our Partner Engineers are the architects of this connectivity, building the technical bridges that link New Relic with the world’s leading technology platforms. By collaborating with our global ecosystem of strategic partners to develop integrations and solutions, you ensure that our mutual customers can achieve success faster and with less friction. You don't just write code; you strengthen an ecosystem that empowers organizations to see more, know more, and do more.

What you’ll do

  • Bridge the Ecosystem Gap: Act as the primary technical link between New Relic, our strategic partners, and our customers, ensuring our integrations solve real-world business challenges.
  • Accelerate Product Adoption: Drive the adoption of our platform by developing seamless integrations with partner solutions that allow customers to see the value of New Relic within their existing workflows.
  • Design for Customer Success: Collaborate with partners to identify gaps in their observability strategies and design custom plugins or integrations that make it easier for customers to monitor their entire stack.
  • Strengthen Partner Synergies: Provide the technical expertise needed to make partner implementations successful, ensuring that New Relic remains a core component of the partner’s value proposition.
  • Influence the Product Roadmap: Translate partner and customer feedback into actionable insights for our internal teams, ensuring our product continues to evolve in ways that benefit the broader ecosystem.
  • Enable Scalable Growth: Stay at the cutting edge of Cloud/SaaS providers (AWS, Azure), building the foundational integrations that allow our customers to scale their operations with confidence.

This role requires

  • Software Development Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in software development with at least one backend language like Python and one frontend framework like React. This is essential for developing custom solutions and integrations on the New Relic Platform.
  • A Builder Mindset: 2-3 years of industry experience in a technical role where you’ve successfully balanced the needs of partners and customers to deliver high-impact solutions.
  • Observability Advocacy: A deep understanding of observability principles and a passion for helping customers gain better visibility into their complex systems.
  • Customer-Centric Problem Solving: Proven troubleshooting skills and experience managing technical relationships, with an ability to turn customer pain points into technical requirements.
  • Cloud Ecosystem Expertise: Hands-on experience with Linux and major cloud providers (AWS or Azure), understanding how these platforms integrate to drive customer success.
  • Collaborative Communication: The ability to explain complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences, from partner developers to customer stakeholders.

Bonus points if you have

  • AI Fluency: Proven experience using AI coding tools (such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or others) to accelerate the development of production-grade software.
  • Strategic Integration Experience: A track record of building high-throughput pipelines or distributed systems that connect disparate platforms.
  • Containerization Skills: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for managing distributed applications.
  • Market Insight: Previous experience working for an Observability vendor, with a clear understanding of the competitive landscape and customer expectations.
