About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Snowflake Service Lead who combines strong Data Engineering expertise with production support and service management experience. The ideal candidate will lead a team of data engineers while remaining hands-on in resolving complex production issues across modern data platforms.
Must-Have Skills
- 6–10 years of experience in Data Engineering and Production Support.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
- Experience with at least one of the following: dbt
- Airbyte
- Airflow (or similar orchestration tools)
- Terraform
- Strong understanding of Dimensional Modelling (Kimball Facts & Dimensions).
- Experience in Production Support, Managed Services, or Service Desk environments.
- Excellent incident management, triaging, and SLA management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple production issues effectively.
- Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Jira/Jira Service Management (JSM) or similar ticketing tools.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience supporting a Snowflake platform.
- Knowledge of Data Contracts and Data Quality SLA Frameworks.
- Experience setting up or improving a Service Desk/Support Function.
- Familiarity with DataHub or other Data Lineage/Catalog tools.

- Resolve complex production issues across Snowflake, dbt, Airbyte, Airflow, and Terraform.
- Lead and mentor a team of junior Data Engineers through coaching and regular one-on-one sessions.
- Monitor SLA adherence and proactively manage escalations.
- Allocate work efficiently across the team to ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare regular service performance reports and communicate key metrics to stakeholders.
- Identify recurring issues and drive continuous improvements in the support process.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve platform reliability and operational excellence.
- Ensure high service quality and customer satisfaction while maintaining production stability.
