Role Responsibilities
- Perform engineering analysis and systems-level design evaluation under general supervision
- Design or modify mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, and specifications demonstrating strong understanding of mechanical fundamentals
- Perform simulation-based analysis (FEA, thermal, CFD) to validate designs; troubleshoot and interpret simulation results
- Troubleshoot and solve moderately complex to complex mechanical problems using systematic problem-solving and root cause analysis
- Coordinate with cross functional and multi domain teams from ideation to design validation and production release
- Perform and document comprehensive engineering test reports; generate alpha/beta/release documentation
- Enable handling, assembly, disassembly, and lifecycle support of parts, components, and assemblies
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 4-6 years of related mechanical design, mechanical engineering, or product development experience
- Hands-on experience with simulation tools (FEA, CFD, thermal analysis - ANSYS, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of mechanical fundamentals (stress analysis, material properties, thermal systems, dynamics)
- Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting capability; ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, NX, CATIA, or equivalent)
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and manufacturing methods
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree (M.Tech/M.S.) or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or specialized area (Thermal, Structural, Dynamics, etc.)
- Expertise in one or more areas: structural analysis, thermal systems, vibration analysis.
- Experience with semiconductor equipment design or manufacturing (advantage for understanding high-precision, high-reliability requirements)
- Demonstrated systems engineering approach to multi-domain mechanical problems
- Knowledge of material selection, failure analysis, or reliability engineering principles
- Experience with precision mechanisms, or high-vacuum systems
