Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, development, and validation of RF delivery subsystems and electrical components.
- Support RF system integration activities, including impedance matching networks, transmission lines, and related hardware.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Process) to support design, testing, and issue resolution.
- Perform hands-on lab testing and characterization of RF and electro-mechanical systems using standard measurement equipment.
- Troubleshooting RF and high-voltage system issues using structured problem-solving approaches.
- Analyze test data and provide insights to improve system performance and reliability.
- Support EM and circuit simulations using standard tools to aid design validation and optimization.
- Document test results, analysis, and design updates through clear technical reports and presentations.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to discussions on design improvements and validation results.
- Ability to code, develop additions to data solvers, as well as data post-processing
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with ~ 8- 10 years of relevant experience (or Master’s with (5-8 years), PhD with 2- 4 years experience; or equivalent experience. or equivalent practical experience.
- Working knowledge of RF fundamentals, transmission lines, and impedance matching concepts.
- Familiarity with RF/EM simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, Q3D, or similar.
- Experience with circuit design and simulation tools (SPICE, ADS, or equivalent).
- Exposure to lab equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a structured approach to problem solving.
- Basic scripting or programming exposure (Python, MATLAB, or similar) is desirable.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to semiconductor equipment or industrial systems is a plus.
- Appreciates learning and understanding challenges and limitations within other disciplines on system designs
- Good understanding of high-voltage and RF power systems.
- Familiarity with PCB/schematic tools (OrCAD, Cadence, or similar).
- Interest in EM modeling and simulation-driven design.
- Willingness to learn cross-disciplinary concepts (mechanical, thermal, plasma interaction).
- Experience with RF/uW generator/source, impedance matching network, transmission line, and antennas.
- Technical working experience: 100 KHz to 100 MHz, Watt to Kilo-Watt ranges, and high voltage DC delivery.
- Familiar with high voltage (>10 KV) and high current (>100 Arms) design rules; arcing, tracking, heat, and parasitic.
