About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
The Experience
The AgentExchange team at Salesforce is responsible for how millions of customers discover, install, and activate partner solutions — from agents built on Agentforce to apps on AppExchange. This Product Management Director role is part of the Marketplace Experience team, a product group within AgentExchange focused on the end-to-end journey of finding and deploying solutions inside Salesforce products.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own two of the most critical surfaces in the AgentExchange ecosystem: Embedded Exchanges (how partner solutions surface natively inside Salesforce products like Agentforce, Tableau, and AI Assist) and the Install and Setup Experience (how customers activate what they find). In this role, you shape the product strategy and execution for how Salesforce customers go from discovery to activation — and you measure every step.
This role is based in Bangalore and works directly with the India engineering hub.
Overview
AgentExchange is building the trusted platform for discovering, deploying, and managing enterprise applications, AI agents, skills, and partner solutions. Marketplace Experiences owns the critical customer journey from discovering a solution through installation, deployment, onboarding, activation, and long-term success across both traditional and headless experiences.
As the Director of Product Management for Marketplace Experiences, you will define the vision, strategy, and execution for the customer experience across Salesforce-owned properties, embedded marketplaces, and AI-driven distribution channels. This role will evolve alongside the market as customers increasingly discover and deploy solutions through AI assistants, enterprise applications, and third-party ecosystems. You will build products that make installation, setup, and activation effortless regardless of where discovery begins.
This is a highly strategic product leadership role operating across Product, Engineering, UX, Data Science, Trust, Partner, and Platform teams.
Responsibilities
- Own the installation and deployment experience for applications, agents, skills, and future marketplace assets across both traditional UI-driven and emerging headless deployment models alongside our internal packaging team.
- Simplify customer onboarding, configuration, permissions, and post-install setup to reduce friction and accelerate time-to-value.
- Define and deliver embedded marketplace experiences across Salesforce products, enabling customers to discover, install, and activate partner solutions directly within their workflows.
- Partner with platform teams to evolve API-first and headless deployment capabilities that support the future of AI-driven software distribution.
- Run experiments that improve conversion, activation, customer engagement, and ecosystem growth through data-driven decision making.
- Define success metrics, instrumentation, and experimentation frameworks to measure customer behavior and optimize marketplace performance.
- Identify and deliver new growth opportunities, including lead generation, merchandising, cross-sell, upsell, and future customer acquisition capabilities.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, UX, Data Science, Trust, Marketing, and Partner teams to deliver cohesive customer experiences across the marketplace ecosystem.
- Gather customer and partner insights through user research, analytics, and direct engagement, translating findings into product strategy and roadmap priorities.
- Communicate product strategy, roadmap, and business outcomes to executive leadership while aligning stakeholders around long-term marketplace investments.
- Define and own the product roadmap for embedded exchanges and install experience, including the headless install architecture that allows customers to discover and install solutions without leaving the Salesforce product they are already using.
- Instrument and own the key V2MOM metrics for this domain — including installs initiated from embedded surfaces and production installs of agentic assets — building measurement frameworks where none currently exist and driving toward EOY targets.
- Drive the major release cycles for the Tableau integration with AgentExchange and own the Phase 2 roadmap, partnering closely with the Tableau, Agentforce, Packaging, and Data teams to ship cross-cloud integrations that are measurable and reusable.
- Improve the install and setup experience to contribute to the AgentExchange customer NPS goal, with a specific focus on the admin approval flow, install flow redesign, and post-install activation — closing the loop between what ships and whether it moves the number.
You're Our Person If...
- 10+ years of Product Management experience building enterprise platform or ecosystem products
- Deep familiarity with Salesforce core platform architecture — metadata, packaging, permissions, and the extensibility model — gained through product or engineering work on Salesforce core
- Strong understanding of Agentforce and agentic systems, demonstrated through direct product work or active personal investment in AI-first product development
- Strong executive communication skills with a demonstrated ability to influence senior technical and business leaders who do not report to you
- Proven ability to scope to a hard deadline — conference-bound or fiscal release — with a track record of making explicit tradeoff calls and shipping
- You have 8 or more years of product management experience, with at least 4 years owning a B2B install, onboarding, or activation flow at scale.
- You have built a product metric from scratch — not inherited a dashboard, but instrumented a funnel step that was previously unmeasured, resolved data quality issues, and published a defensible baseline.
- You have shipped a platform or API capability that multiple internal product teams adopted, and you can describe the adoption story — how the second and third teams came on board, not just the first.
- You are comfortable working with India-based engineering teams and have managed delivery in that timezone context before.
Even Better If...
- Experience with embedded marketplace or extensibility surfaces — building an experience that lives inside another product rather than as a standalone destination
- You think in platforms, not features — building services others build on rather than one-off experiences
- You use AI tools actively in your day-to-day PM work — for synthesis, data analysis, or experiment planning, not as a future capability
- You have experience with embedded marketplace or extensibility surfaces — building an experience that lives inside another product rather than as a standalone destination.
- You have operated in an organization with hard conference-bound or fiscal release deadlines and have a track record of scoping to the deadline and shipping.
- You are an active user of AI tools in your day-to-day PM work — using AI for PRD drafting, data analysis, or experiment planning rather than treating it as a future capability to develop.
- You have experience with headless commerce or API-first product architectures and understand the difference between building an experience and building a service that others build experiences on top of.
