Role Summary
We're seeking a Software Engineer to join our SF on SF engineering team.
We are looking for an experiencedQuality Engineer with Performance Testing and Automation mindset to join our Engineering team. You will be responsible for checking performance of applications and developing automated quality assurance practices for highly scalable internal applications built using Salesforce technologies.
You must have a solid background in Java or any programming language. You must have experience of Salesforce platform and apps. You should have a good understanding of Javascript, modern UI frameworks, JMeter, Webdriver and Selenium, API testing and automation. Candidate should be able to understand the architecture of the application including the integrated components and how they interact with each other. You will be responsible for developing performance tests and functional automation tests around UI & APIs. You will use your experience to work with team members to develop new application features, as well as, enhance existing code and framework. You should have a history of building successful automated quality control pipelines on Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.
You will be working directly with Developers, SDETs and Product & Engineering Managers to ensure quality development and quality of our applications and platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and continuously improve performance, load, scalability, and reliability testing.
- Analyze and monitor performance metrics (response time, throughput, error rates, CPU/memory).
- Architect and maintain automation frameworks for performance, API, web, and mobile testing.
- Integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines to improve release velocity and product quality.
- Drive engineering excellence through best practices in testing, tooling, and deployment.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and collaborate with Engineering, UAT, and Product teams to reduce defects.
- Own QA and staging environments, test data, and performance test plans.
- Provide clear test status, risk assessment, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
- Work in an Agile environment, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setup.
Required Experience & Skills
- 11 + yers of experience in software engineering, QA, or performance engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with performance testing tools: JMeter, Gatling, or K6.
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Groovy, or scripting languages (Apex is a plus).
- Experience with test automation: Selenium WebDriver, Appium, REST Assured, Postman.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD using GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Expertise in performance monitoring and analysis using Splunk, Datadog, or similar tools.
- Experience with API, UAT, and mobile (iOS/Android) testing.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce testing (Admin certification preferred); familiarity with SFDX, SOQL, Data Loader.
- Solid understanding of database performance fundamentals (SQL, schemas).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern quality engineering practices.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
