Bring your specialist knowledge and experience to a company managing 50% of the world’s MIPS and play a critical role in our modernization mission. A Full Stack developer in Kyndryl, is a person who has good experience in application development, support and modernization. Person will mentor and coach junior developers in the application development team and will have responsibilities as defined in role description and responsibilities section below.
What you will do
Project Delivery
- Engage with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable application solutions.
- Design and develop modern applications across Application, Data, Cloud, Authentication, and Authorization domains.
- Lead application modernization initiatives and drive cloud-native transformation strategies.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, security requirements, and best practices.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and container-based architectures.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, and Delivery teams to create optimized application solutions.
- Develop and modernize applications using cloud-native technologies, APIs, microservices, and containers.
- Ensure applications meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security requirements.
- Lead technical discussions, work sessions, and solution reviews with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Mentor and coach development teams throughout project execution.
Capability and Offering Development
- Support the development of application modernization offerings aligned with market demand.
- Contribute to capability-building initiatives and reusable solution accelerators.
- Participate in technical communities, innovation initiatives, and knowledge-sharing forums.
- Mentor, guide, and coach junior developers and technical team members.
- Assist in developing delivery methodologies, standards, and best practices.
Who You Are
Required skills and experience
- Strong experience in application development, support, and modernization projects.
- Hands-on experience developing cloud-native applications.
- Experience working with microservices-based architectures.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native design principles, including: Microservices
- Containerization
- Stateless application design
- 12-Factor App methodology
- API-first development
- Experience delivering enterprise-scale greenfield and brownfield application modernization programmes.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Familiarity with application performance and infrastructure monitoring tools such as New Relic and Splunk.
Technical Skills :
Backend Development: Java, Spring Boot Framework, REST APIs, SOAP Services, XML/JSON, Maven / Gradle and API Integration
Front-End Development: React, HTML5 and CSS3
Cloud & Container Platforms : Kubernetes, OpenShift, Microsoft Azure, Containerized Application Development
Database Technologies: SQL Databases, NoSQL Databases and Application Deployment and Integration with Database Platforms
Middleware Technologies: Apache Tomcat
DevOps & Delivery : Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD frameworks and Source Code Management and Automated Deployment Processes
Preferred skills and experience
Architecture & Design : Microservices Architecture, Domain Driven Design (DDD)
Front-End Frameworks: Angular, ReactJS, VueJS, ExpressJS
Databases: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, Redis, DynamoDB
Additional Technologies: Python, Node.js, JPA, Hibernate, Quarkus, Go, Scala
API Management: API Gateway Platforms, API Lifecycle Management
Middleware: JBoss EAP, Open Liberty, Kafka, Nginx, Jetty, Oracle WebLogic, RabbitMQ
DevOps Tools: Azure DevOps (ADO), Jenkins, Git, Nexus, Jira, Terraform, Ansible
Education Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
Master's Degree preferred but not mandatory
