Who we are looking for

As a Corporate Actions COE Assistant Vice President, the ideal candidate will support and assist Client Operations and other operational Shared Service teams/Centers of Excellence (COEs) by monitoring and processing custody, accounting, and middle-office-related events in the fund’s records accurately and timely. The candidate will ensure prompt follow-up on exception situations and facilitate timely problem resolution to mitigate risk to the corporation and deliver excellent service to clients, while supporting effective people management.

The Corporate Actions COE manages end-to-end event processing across custody, accounting, and middle-office services for our clients. This involves processing a range of financial activities that help other teams derive NAV, cash and share projection reports, and portfolio performance reports for clients. As part of the Corporate Actions COE, you will be required to contribute to the development of processes and people, while improving the team’s risk standards.

What you will be responsible for

As Assistant Vice President, you will:

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies that support the company’s overall business goals.

Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to streamline operations, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.

Resource Management: Manage resources, including people, budget, and technology, effectively to achieve operational objectives.

Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement, taking corrective actions as needed.

Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of managers and staff within the operations department.

Budget Management: Manage the operational budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control.

Collaboration: Work with other executive teams to ensure alignment and coordination across the organization.

Quality Control: Ensure that the company's operations deliver high-quality products or services that meet customer needs.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential operational risks.

Deep Knowledge of Corporate Actions: Understand the end-to-end corporate action and income cycle, fund accounting, bond concepts, dividends, different types of corporate action events, including mandatory and voluntary events, the corporate action event lifecycle, and associated rules around entitlement, election, payment, post-payment validation checks and controls, and relevant regulations.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Economics with a specialization in Business, Accounting, Finance, or another finance-related program. Inter C.A., Inter ICWAI, or CFA (pursuing) will be preferred.
  • 10–16 years of experience in accounting, finance, mutual fund operations, loan servicing, or related careers preferred.
