The opportunity
Adobe Design is looking for an innovative Experience Designer to join our Document Cloud team and work with a multidisciplinary team to drive user acquisition, engagement & monetization for Acrobat.
You’ll be working on products such as Adobe Acrobat, Sign, and Scan (just to name a few) that are ubiquitous in the lives and work of more than 700 million monthly active users and span across a multitude of surfaces and platforms. Join the rapidly growing Adobe cloud team and help design the future of documents.
The Document Cloud design team has a strong legacy of innovation and continues to be recognized for groundbreaking work. We were honoured in TIME’s Best Inventions in 2023 for our advancements in Liquid Mode, and again in 2024 for Acrobat’s AI Assistant. As a key design team member, you’ll play an integral part in crafting the next generation of productivity tools at Adobe! We are working on projects that help people consume, comprehend, create, and collaborate on documents in new ways.
If you're passionate about crafting intuitive experiences at this magnitude, we'd love to hear from you!
What you'll do
- Design simple, elegant and intuitive experiences that intersect with upcoming GenAI trends to bring delight and step change to users’ workflows.
- Apply a growth mindset to experiment on acquisition, monetization and engagement initiatives keeping user centricity at the forefront.
- Create user experience goals, priorities, and deliverables that align with product milestones, coordinate multiple projects to completion, and drive adoption of user experience practices.
- Proactively engage with multiple project stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and other designers in drafting & brainstorming initial concepts.
- Convey design ideas and end-to-end user experience via sketches, storyboards, hi-fidelity mockups, prototypes, or animations.
- Create designs that meet product objectives, fit within Adobe Design guidelines, and respond to user feedback and usability testing findings.
- Be an advocate for the user. Conduct primary and/or secondary research, as well as quick rounds of usability tests.
What you need to succeed
- A minimum of 3 years of industry experience in product design with a proven track record of success.
- Experience (and a love of!) solving complex design and technology problems using systems thinking.
- Ability to grasp the essence of complex design problems and translate them to practical design solutions.
- Ability to proficiently facilitate brainstorming sessions, cultivate the creative thinking process, create compelling presentation decks or videos, and present articulate concept pitches.
- Ability to accept and design against feedback from colleagues in a rapid iterative design process, and effectively produce multiple highly polished and professional finished works under tight timeline.
- Strong understanding of Adobe Xd, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, or similar product design programs.
- Familiarity with prototyping tools a plus.
- Comfortable working in a loosely defined agile and lean design environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate a problem space.
