Sr. Software Developer in Embedded Test – Battery Algorithm Software Testing

Role Overview

We are seeking a Software Developer in Embedded Test to support Battery Insights algorithm software used in Automotive and Energy Storage applications. The role focuses on verification of embedded algorithm software, aligned to ASPICE quality practices. You will work on testing firmware, software libraries, and Simulink models deployed on edge embedded platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and verify software requirements and define test coverage.
  • Create and execute test strategies and test plans.
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks.
  • Design and execute tests to validate firmware, libraries, and Simulink models.
  • Implement test applications in C and automation frameworks in Python.
  • Validate embedded software using UART, SPI, Ethernet, and CAN interfaces.
  • Support MIL / SIL testing environments.
  • Work in Agile/Scrum teams and deliver high‑quality test artifacts.
  • Leverage AI‑assisted tools to improve test efficiency and automation.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands‑on experience in C and Python
  • Good knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink
  • Solid understanding of embedded systems and edge software
  • Experience with Automotive SPICE‑based testing
  • Hands‑on experience with UART, SPI, Ethernet, CAN
  • Strong background in test planning, automation, and execution

Good to Have

  • Experience in Battery Management Systems (BMS) or battery algorithms
  • Automotive or Energy Storage domain experience
  • Exposure to MIL/SIL testing and CI/CD

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in embedded software or algorithm testing
