About the Role

As part of Nu's Regulatory Solutions team, you'll help protect the trust millions of customers place in us every day. Your work on KYC, Enhanced Due Diligence, and Judicial Orders analytics keeps our growth sustainable and our compliance airtight across Brazil, Mexico, and beyond.

You'll turn complex regulatory data into dashboards, hypotheses, and insights that guide how Nu meets its legal and customer obligations. Every trend you catch and every root cause you uncover helps us stay diligent, flexible, and resilient — the way Nu was built to be.

This is a role for someone who finds meaning in the details: turning ambiguous regulatory questions into clear, data-backed answers that shape how we serve our customers responsibly.

You'll be responsible for

  • Build dashboards and visualizations that surface trends and deviations in KYC, EDD, and Judicial Orders indicators over time
  • Identify and correlate relevant data sources (QuickSight, BigQuery, SQL) to formulate and test hypotheses about regulatory operations
  • Write optimized SQL queries to solve complex data problems across large transactional datasets
  • Apply Python, Scala, or similar languages to build repeatable, scalable analytical solutions
  • Lead root cause analysis independently, generating actionable insights without close guidance
  • Define processes that keep KYC, Registration, and Judicial Orders operations compliant with business, legal, and customer needs across Brazil, Mexico, and other LatAm markets
  • Guide the team tactically, aligning daily execution with the BU's strategic priorities and OKRs
  • Manage low- to medium-complexity projects end to end, delegating tasks and communicating progress to stakeholders

We are looking for a person who has

Required

  • Experience building dashboards and analytical visualizations using tools like QuickSight, BigQuery, or similar
  • Strong SQL skills, with experience solving complex problems in an optimized way
  • Programming experience in Python, Scala, or another general-purpose language
  • Familiarity with database modeling and architecture (Data Mart, Data Lake, Data Warehouse)
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis and translating findings into recommendations
  • Ability to abstract business concepts into quantitative metrics (KPIs, OKRs)
  • Clear, concise communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Background in KYC, AML, or regulatory/compliance analytics, ideally across Brazil, Mexico, or other LatAm markets
  • Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Statistics, or a related field, with quantitative or statistical modeling experience
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, written and verbal
  • Curiosity about AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science
