We are looking for a Data and Automation Specialistto join our Customer Experience and Automation Team in Palma de Mallorca. The main purpose of the role is to implement and maintain specific data ecosystems using Snowflake/PostgreSQL and build hybrid agentic-deterministic workflows on low-code platforms to optimize efficiency.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement and update data structures on Snowflake following established architectural guidelines, ensuring quality and performance of assigned datasets.
- Build and maintain datasets to allow automation of business processes using low-code/no-code platforms like Appian, n8n, Salesforce, and similar tools to integrate reservation systems, CRM, marketing, and customer service platforms.
- Develop connections using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to integrate LLMs with external data sources as defined in technical specifications.
- Deploy and integrate generative AI models to personalize traveler experiences, automate content creation, manage chatbots, and support predictive analytics for demand and customer behavior.
- Collaborate with the Lead and stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional automation workflows and dashboards.
- Monitor AI and automation workflows, iterating for improved performance, reliability, and business impact.
- Build data queries for visualisations to analyse business processes and monitor change impact.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
- Strong practical skills in SQL and Python for complex data manipulation, scripting, and automation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- A strong team player mindset with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and foster positive working relationships.
- Demonstrated lateral thinking and creativity in solving complex problems and designing innovative automation and AI solutions.
- Deep understanding and applied knowledge of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar open standards for integrating LLMs with external systems.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and a commitment to ethical AI practices.
- Familiarity with major cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and BI/data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Proven, hands-on experience designing and managing scalable data solutions in Snowflake or PostgreSQL.
- Demonstrated experience building, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-grade workflows on low-code/no-code platforms such as Salesforce, Appian, and/or n8n.
- Practical experience developing and consuming REST APIs for complex system integrations in a professional environment.
- Previous experience working within an Agile or iterative project management methodology is desirable.
- Experience in applying AI for personalization and automation is highly desired, preferably within the tourism or hospitality sector.
- Familiarity with using BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create business-facing dashboards.
