Education

Required - High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred - Bachelor's degree in a related field or an advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Business/Health Administration

Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Healthcare Administration or related field

Work Experience

Required - 10 years related professional experience OR 5 years related professional experience with a Bachelor's degree

Preferred Exprience

  • Revenue Integrity, chargemaster, charge capture, audit, coding, reimbursement, or revenue cycle operations experience.
  • Epic charging workflow, Charge Router, workqueue, or operational troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience conducting audits, investigations, trend analysis, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills preferred.
  • Experience identifying opportunities and implementing sustainable process improvements.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience partnering with operational, financial, revenue cycle, and clinical stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings, recommendations, and solutions.

Certifications

Preferred - Related professional certification (e.g. CIA, CPA, CISA, CPC; CCS, etc.)

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.

Job Duties

  • Facilitates processes/operations required for new services/location, service location changes, and new technology/equipment to ensure accurate and complete set-up and implementation.
  • Participates in research, training, and education that supports the project.
  • Escalates issues that may not put the project at risk; recommends solutions.
  • Ensures data integrity and quality control.
  • Ensures projects remain within budget.
