Job Summary:

AMETEK is seeking a National Aftermarket Sales - Sensors to drive recurring revenue growth across the U.S. installed base of turbine sensors and related instrumentation.

This role is responsible for developing and executing a national aftermarket strategy focused on spares, repairs, upgrades, retrofits, and service solutions. The National Sales Manager will build strong relationships with asset owners, operators, and service organizations to expand lifecycle revenue, improve customer retention, and position AMETEK as a trusted partner in reliability and maintenance optimization.

Success in this role will be measured by aftermarket revenue growth, installed base penetration, and long-term customer value creation.

Key Responsibilities:

Aftermarket Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute a U.S.-wide aftermarket sales strategy targeting installed base monetization
  • Drive growth in spare parts, repairs, field services, retrofits, and upgrade programs
  • Identify opportunities tied to fleet aging, obsolescence, outages, and reliability initiatives
  • Increase recurring revenue, service attach rates, and lifecycle value per customer

National Account Management

  • Build and manage relationships with multi-site power generation operators, industrial customers, and OEM service organizations
  • Develop strategic account plans focused on lifecycle support, reliability improvements, and maintenance optimization
  • Establish trusted advisor status with engineering, maintenance, and procurement stakeholders

Installed Base & Lifecycle Management

  • Leverage installed base data to identify opportunities for replacement, upgrades, and service contracts
  • Promote predictive and preventative maintenance solutions
  • Drive adoption of lifecycle programs and long-term service agreements (LTSAs)

Channel & Partner Development

  • Manage and expand a national network of distributors, manufacturer representatives, and service partners
  • Identify and onboard partners to improve aftermarket coverage, responsiveness, and service capabilities
  • Drive accountability across partners for aftermarket growth targets

Technical & Value-Based Selling

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on turbine sensors and aftermarket applications
  • Deliver value-based messaging centered on uptime, reliability, safety, and total cost of ownership
  • Support customers with troubleshooting, product recommendations, and upgrade pathways

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with engineering, product management, operations, and service teams
  • Provide feedback on product performance, failure trends, and customer needs
  • Support development of new aftermarket offerings and service solutions

Sales Operations & Market Intelligence

  • Manage CRM pipeline, forecasting, and installed base tracking at a national level
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis specific to aftermarket services and MRO trends
  • Represent AMETEK at industry events, conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings across the U.S.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (engineering or business preferred), or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in aftermarket, service, or technical sales within industrial, energy, or rotating equipment markets
  • Experience driving recurring revenue through spares, repair, and service offerings
  • Experience with sensors, instrumentation, or turbine-related systems
  • Experience managing national or multi-site customer accounts
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30-50%

  • Strong understanding of aftermarket/MRO business models and lifecycle sales strategies
  • Familiarity with gas turbines, rotating equipment, or industrial maintenance environments
  • Experience developing and selling service agreements or reliability-focused solutions
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic account management skills
  • Ability to translate technical solutions into commercial value propositions
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, service, and operations teams
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage a broad national territory
