About Us

At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous. We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale.

With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.

Today, our platform includes LangSmith (Observability, Evaluation, Deployment, Fleet, and Sandboxes), our open source frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, and Deep Agents), and the newly launched LangSmith Engine for autonomous agent improvement. We have 100M+ monthly open source downloads, 6,000+ active LangSmith customers, and 5 of the Fortune 10 use LangSmith in production (+ 35% of the Fortune 500 overall), including teams at Klarna, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, LinkedIn, Monday.com, Nvidia, and Bridgewater.

About The Role:

We're looking for a senior PMM to own go-to-market for two of our core products: LangSmith Observability and Evaluation. LangSmith Observability gives engineering teams full visibility into agent behavior (tracing, production monitoring, automated insights). LangSmith Evaluation gives them the confidence to ship (offline and online evals, human feedback, prompt optimization). You'll own messaging in a market that moves weekly, launch new capabilities for a technical audience, and build the enablement that helps our sales team win.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead product launches. AI infrastructure moves fast, and we ship to match. You'll partner with product and GTM to launch new capabilities and products in ways that resonate with technical buyers and stand out in a noisy market.
  • Own positioning, messaging, and the agent narrative for LangSmith Observability and Evaluation. You'll shape how customers think about LangSmith products and how we show up in the market, from the homepage to sales decks.
  • Build sales enablement that helps close enterprise deals. Our buyers are senior engineering and AI/ML building agents in production. You'll create the talk tracks, battlecards, and objection handling the sales team needs.
  • Own competitive positioning across established and emerging AI-native observability tools. You'll stay close to the landscape and define differentiation that holds up to scrutiny.
  • Partner on pricing and packaging as products evolve, bringing market and customer observations into decisions.
  • Create content that helps buyers move forward. Customer stories, technical use cases, solution briefs: the materials that help technical champions make the case for LangSmith internally and help enterprise buyers understand our value.
  • Feed the product roadmap. You'll synthesize customer conversations, win/loss signals, and competitive trends into clear feedback that helps our product teams decide what to build.

What You’ll Bring:

  • You have 5-8+ years product marketing experience.
  • You've owned positioning and messaging for a technical product or platform end-to-end, not just contributed to it. You've been the person accountable for the narrative, and you can point to results.
  • You've marketed developer tools, AI/ML infrastructure, or observability/monitoring platforms. You know how technical buyers evaluate software, what moves them to adopt, and what drives expansion.
  • You're comfortable in a room with senior engineers and VP+ leaders. You can follow a technical conversation about tracing, evaluation workflows, or agent architectures, ask good questions, and turn what you learn into clear messaging.
  • You like to ship. You'd rather get something strong out the door and iterate than wait for perfect, without losing the bigger narrative.
  • You write clearly. Your product messaging, solution briefs, and enablement materials are written for the customer.
  • You have a genuine curiosity about how agents are shaping the future of software. You'll be carrying the narrative for LangSmith's most important products, and that curiosity comes through in the work.
  • You use AI tools in your own work and you're always looking for new ways to increase your effectiveness with them.
  • You know how to tell customer stories that clearly make the case for the products you own.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with the LLM/agent developer ecosystem. You've used or marketed tracing platforms, eval frameworks, or similar AI infrastructure.
  • Experience with both product-led and sales-led GTM motions.
  • Experience partnering with sales on enterprise deals, including enablement, competitive support, and customer-facing storytelling.
  • Exposure to the open-source developer community and how community adoption can work as a GTM advantage.

Why Join:

  • Your work will directly impact the business. LangSmith Observability and Evaluation drive LangChain's revenue. This is a small product portfolio where what you do is visible and measurable.
  • Agents are where software is heading. LangChain is at the center of that, and you'll shape how the story gets told to the teams building them.
  • Real scope on a growing team. You're joining a small team that's scaling fast. You'll help build the playbook.
  • A team that ships. We move fast, we hold a high bar, and we don't wait for layers of approval.

Compensation

  • Location: San Francisco, CA (strong preference)
  • Annual salary: $210,000 – $235,000 + equity

Compensation Philosophy:

We offer competitive compensation that includes base salary, variable compensation for relevant roles, meaningful equity, benefits, and perks. Actual compensation and offerings will vary based on role, level, and location. Team members in the EU, UK, and APAC receive locally competitive benefits aligned with regional norms and regulations.

Benefits

Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible vacation, a 401(k) plan, meals on in-office days in the US and more.
