Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology (BNSM) provides advanced tools for surface and materials characterization across semiconductor, materials science, life science, and industrial applications. Our portfolio includes atomic force microscopes (AFMs), nanoIR spectrometers, stylus and optical profilometers, ellipsometry and reflectometry systems, in-situ and stand-alone nanomechanical testers, mechanical and tribological testers, and a comprehensive suite of semiconductor research and manufacturing tools.

For Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology Business (BNSM) in Germany we are looking for Sales Account Manager (m/f/d).

Responsibilities

Summary of responsibilities:

  • Selling a portfolio of our scientific instruments, accessories and upgrades to meet or exceed sales targets for all the Business Units in your sales territory. The product portfolio includes advanced Surface Metrology solutions such as Optical Profilers, Ellipsometers and Reflectometers used in semiconductor, advanced materials, industrial and research applications.
  • The role will focus on supporting customers in the semiconductor, research, advanced materials and industrial manufacturing sectors across the assigned territory.
  • Sales territory strategic and tactical planning and execution
  • Regular reporting on status and progress to Sales Manager

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute sales growth strategies
  • Own a direct sales territory and collaborate closely with the Sales Applications Team and Field Service Engineer
  • Prospecting to generate leads, qualifying leads, visiting customers and following a defined sales process up until purchase order
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities while expanding the customer base within the assigned territory
  • Product presentations at conferences, seminars, workshops and customer sites as required
  • Develop a strong understanding of competitive and funding landscape within the territory
  • Build strong market knowledge of the semiconductor, advanced materials, research and industrial manufacturing sectors within the territory
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and establish strategic partnerships with key accounts
  • Maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with customers, research institutes and industry partners to support sustainable business growth
  • Feedback to BNSM sales management on the development and execution of sales strategy
  • Regular and accurate sales forecasting via CRM
  • Represent Bruker at trade fairs, conferences, workshops and customer events to promote solutions and strengthen market presence
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned at a later time

Qualifications

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Positive “can do” attitude, a highly motivated self-starter
  • Relishes working in a performance-driven environment
  • Resourceful, proactive, meticulous
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to achieve shared goals, but also equally comfortable working independently when required
  • Experience with optical profilometry, ellipsometry, reflectometry or related surface metrology technologies is highly desirable.
  • Competent PC skills, particularly with MS office software
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical solutions to scientific and industrial customers.
  • Able to travel both domestically and internationally on short notice (Up to 60% travel as required to support the role)
  • Fluent German and English language skills are required

Educational/ experience requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Materials Science or Engineering or other Scientific discipline
  • Knowledge of optical profilometry, Ellipsometry and Reflectometry preferred
  • Sales experience in related field desired. Experience selling scientific instruments, analytical equipment or metrology solutions is preferred.
  • Ability to grow and take additional responsibilities
