About You

You are a Senior Azure Site Reliability Engineer passionate about designing, automating, and operating highly available cloud platforms. You thrive improving reliability through Infrastructure as Code, automation, observability, and modern engineering practices while ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient cloud environments.

You enjoy solving complex infrastructure challenges, collaborating across engineering teams, and driving operational excellence. You take ownership of production environments, mentor other engineers, and continuously improve platform reliability through automation and best practices.

You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or related roles.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Expert-level experience with Terraform, including reusable modules, remote state management, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Strong experience operating Azure PaaS services, including Azure Container Apps, API Management, Key Vault, Storage Accounts, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure Policy.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure networking, including VNets, Subnets, Private Endpoints, Private DNS Zones, and VNet Peering.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
  • Strong experience implementing cloud observability with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, dashboards, and alerts.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-grade production environments with high availability and operational excellence.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ownership mindset with the ability to mentor engineers and work independently.
  • Advanced English proficiency.

Nice to Have

  • Experience operating Azure Container Apps at enterprise scale.
  • Experience with Terraform Cloud or Terraform Enterprise.
  • Experience integrating Azure DevOps with ServiceNow.
  • Familiarity with Wiz Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM).
  • Experience implementing Azure Landing Zones and cloud governance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting enterprise or highly regulated cloud environments.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400).
  • HashiCorp Terraform Associate or Professional certification.

You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Ensure the reliability, scalability, security, and availability of Azure platform services.
  • Build and maintain monitoring, dashboards, alerts, and observability solutions.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments following Infrastructure as Code best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production infrastructure incidents.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and platform engineers to deliver secure and scalable cloud solutions.
  • Manage Azure networking resources, including VNets, Private Endpoints, DNS, and connectivity services.
  • Continuously improve platform reliability through automation and operational excellence.
  • Mentor engineers and promote Site Reliability Engineering and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
  • Maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and platform standards.
  • 7+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure.
  • Expert experience with Terraform, Azure PaaS services, Azure networking, and CI/CD.
  • Strong experience with cloud observability, automation, and production operations.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
