Akamai is seeking a User Experience Designer to design enterprise and developer-facing products, including next-generation AI infrastructure. This role focuses on creating intuitive, scalable experiences for complex systems, from early concept through launch in close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Partner with the best

You will play a key role in designing major products and features, working closely with product owners from concept through launch. You will have a proven track record of shipping products that users love.

As an User Experience Designer, you will be responsible for:

  • Owning end-to-end design and rapid prototyping for features from concept to delivery in close collaboration with your team.
  • Translating complex cloud, security, and AI systems into intuitive experiences across UI, API, CLI, and IaC.
  • Creating cohesive, scalable experiences that connect developer workflows and platform capabilities.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally, participating in design critiques and reviews to align stakeholders on solutions.
  • Using research and data to inform and validate user-centered design decisions.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have UX/UI design experience in product or B2B SaaS
  • Have experience designing developer workflows (APIs, infrastructure).
  • Be familiar with AI/ML workflows such as model deployment and inference.
  • Have the ability to simplify complex systems into intuitive, scalable experiences.
  • Have experience working in ambiguous or early-stage product environments, iterating quickly and delivering clarity through design.
  • Be proficient in prototyping and iterative design, using research and analytics to guide design decisions
