Job Description
- Represent employers, insurers, and related clients in workers' compensation defense matters.
- Independently manage a caseload from assignment through resolution.
- Handle depositions, hearings, negotiations, and settlement conferences.
- Evaluate claims, analyze exposure, and develop practical litigation strategies.
- Communicate proactively with clients regarding case status and recommendations.
- Prepare pleadings, motions, legal research, and other litigation documents.
- Collaborate with experienced attorneys to achieve efficient, favorable outcomes.
- Utilize a fully paperless, technology-driven practice to manage cases remotely.
Qualifications
- Active California Bar license.
- 1+ year of workers' compensation defense experience.
- 3+ years of workers' compensation defense experience preferred.
- Ability to independently manage litigation files.
- Strong legal writing, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fully remote environment.
