About the Team
Mercury* is building a complete financial stack for ambitious businesses. Since we launched in 2019, our customer base has grown to over 200,000 startups and small businesses from all around the world. To help Mercury activate new customer segments, grow our customer base and increase revenue, we are expanding our Revenue Strategy & Operations team, which leads business-critical, cross-functional efforts to efficiently scale our go-to-market organization.
The Revenue Strategy & Operations team is responsible for platforms & infrastructure, dashboards & insights, enablement and project management to support the broader go-to-market organization. We sit at the intersection of revenue strategy, operations, and data—building the reporting, analysis, and tooling infrastructure that keeps a fast-moving revenue team informed and effective. As an RSO team member, you are a force multiplier, leading cross-functional initiatives that uplevel the capabilities, processes and results within the go-to-market organization.
*Mercury is a financial technology company, not a bank. Banking services provided by Choice Financial Group, Column N.A., and Evolve Bank & Trust, Members FDIC.
As part of the journey, we would expect you to:
- Work cross-functionally with go-to-market teams including Sales, Relationship Management, Partnerships and Marketing to identify and solve sticky challenges
- Own high-impact initiatives for months, quarters or possibly years, defining problem statements, developing and driving alignment around solutions, overseeing implementation and measuring impact
- Leverage data to identify the biggest opportunities and drive decision-making—including building dashboards and reports that give GTM stakeholders clear visibility into performance, pipeline, and customer behavior
- Translate ambiguous business questions into well-structured analyses, partnering with data and analytics teams to surface insights that stakeholders can act on
- Get creative, building solutions that leverage AI and other emerging technologies to accelerate workflows, automate manual processes, and unlock new capabilities—you’re excited about what’s possible and eager to experiment
- Work across Mercury’s data environment (Snowflake, Salesforce, Omni, and other platforms) to connect disparate data sources and surface a complete picture of customer and prospect behavior
- Build relationships across a wide range of stakeholders and deliver impact through collaboration and consensus
There are lots of paths that could lead you to be successful in a role like this; we think the strongest candidates will have some of this experience:
- Prior experience leading strategic projects or programs, such as in consulting, Business Operations, Sales or Revenue Operations, Program Manager, or other applicable roles
- Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and can approach new problems with curiosity and first-principles thinking
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate, build consensus and influence across teams and senior-level stakeholders
- Strong data fluency—you’re comfortable pulling your own data and navigating across sources to connect the dots yourself rather than waiting for someone else to do it
- Experience building and maintaining dashboards and reports in tools like Omni, Looker, Tableau, or Salesforce, with a knack for distilling complex datasets into simple, actionable visualizations
- A genuine enthusiasm for AI and emerging technology—you actively seek out ways to integrate AI into your work, have experimented with tools like LLMs, copilots, or automation platforms, and see AI as a force multiplier for the type of strategic work this role demands
- Demonstrated ability to bring structure and simplicity to a variety of complex and ambiguous business problems
- Ability to work independently to identify issues and proactively propose, build and implement the solutions to address them from the ground up
- Comfort working in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment, with a strong understanding of when to escalate urgent issues and to whom
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and time management and prioritization skills
