About the Role

We are building a new, critical safety product designed to protect people in real-world emergencies. This is a rare opportunity to shape a category-defining product in a large, stagnant market ready for innovation.

What You’ll Do

• Play a pivotal role in re-defining this critical product line
• Build user-facing experiences and core backend services that power real-time alerts, notifications, and integrations with external monitoring services.
• Ensure reliability with automated hardware-in-the-loop testing systems.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years building production systems
• Strong backend experience (Go preferred)
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms
• Comfortable working across the stack: backend, frontend, and device
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and APIs
• Startup mindset; able to move fast and iterate with product teams

Bonus Points

• Experience with embedded systems or IoT
• Familiarity with HIL testing
• Experience with real-time or safety-critical systems

Annual Pay Range

At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate's skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs)

Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).

$130,000 — $280,000 USD
