As a key member of the APAC Revenue Leadership Team reporting directly to the General Manager, APAC, you will be the strategic leader responsible for shaping, executing, and driving all SMB and Mid-Market/Corporate go-to-market (GTM) activities across ANZ, Southeast Asia, Asia, and Korea (excluding Japan). You will lead a high-velocity, high-volume regional sales team currently delivering strong results across a broad and fast-growing customer base, spanning digital-led acquisition through to sales-assisted expansion.
Partnering closely with leaders across Customer Success, Marketing, Sales Development, and Channel, you will own the full-funnel GTM playbook for our SMB and Mid-Market/Corporate customer segments. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in scaled, velocity-driven sales motions to build repeatable pipeline generation, drive efficient customer acquisition, and expand Asana's market presence across the region.
This role is based in our Sydney office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements.
What you’ll achieve
- Build a strong community of customers, partners, and employees across the ANZ, SEA, Asia, and Korea markets.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive multi-year strategy for revenue growth and market penetration across the SMB and Mid-Market/Corporate segments, tailored to the maturity and channel dynamics of each sub-region.
- Partner with Customer Success to build a scalable, tech-enabled coverage model that drives both new logo acquisition and expansion revenue across a high volume of accounts.
- Lead, inspire, and collaborate with sales and matrixed teams to operationalize a repeatable playbook that fuels pipeline velocity, forecasting accuracy, and deal rigour at scale.
- Hire, nurture, and develop top sales talent across a high-throughput sales organization, building clear career paths and succession plans in a segment known for developing future enterprise talent.
- Act as a senior executive representative for Asana with customers, partners, channel partners, and media across the region.
- Create strong feedback loops with the Product team to influence product evolution, particularly around self-serve to sales-assisted conversion and AI-powered product adoption (including Asana AI Teammates).
- Evolve the Account Team Playbook to support SMB and Mid-Market/Corporate growth, ensuring alignment across SDRs, Sales, Success, Channel, and Services.
- Build and mature channel and partner motions where they materially extend coverage and pipeline generation across under-penetrated markets.
About you
- Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making.
- People-centric leader with a track record of managing high-volume, high-velocity sales teams.
- Proven experience managing dedicated SMB and/or Mid-Market/Corporate sales teams and consistently hitting revenue targets in an enterprise tech or SaaS environment.
- Deep background in scaled, transactional-to-mid-complexity sales motions, with a strong understanding of shorter sales cycles, higher deal volume, and disciplined pipeline management.
- Demonstrated experience leading and scaling high-performing SMB/Mid-Market sales teams across APAC or comparable multi-market regions.
- Track record of building and refining segmentation, territory design, and coverage models to maximize productivity across a large book of accounts.
- Proven capability to scale sales organizations and drive consistent bookings, ARR, and logo growth across commercial segments, including via channel and partner leverage.
- Deep experience navigating growth strategies within both product-led (self-serve, PLG) and sales-led business models, and building the muscle to convert between them.
- Operationally strong, with the ability to independently build robust GTM, operating rhythm, and talent development plans (e.g., pipeline councils, coaching clinics, forecast cadences).
- Intellectually curious, analytical, and naturally open-minded, with a passion for solving complex regional coverage and productivity challenges.
- A highly collaborative partner, comfortable navigating cross-functional, matrixed environments alongside Product, Marketing, and Channel teams.
- A low-ego leader who builds trust and influence through thoughtful communication, coaching over inspection, and high-quality execution.
