Wise is a global technology company, building the best way to move and manage the world’s money.

Min fees. Max ease. Full speed.

Whether people and businesses are sending money to another country, spending abroad, or making and receiving international payments, Wise is on a mission to make their lives easier and save them money.

As part of our team, you will be helping us create an entirely new network for the world's money.

For everyone, everywhere.

More about our mission and what we offer.

We are looking for a Senior Payment Operations Analyst who is passionate about our mission of Money Without Borders to join our team in Tallinn! You'll partner with our Payment Operations organisation to help drive data-driven decisions that would improve the quality of our data models, and improve the way we forecast our operational capacity.

The Payment Operations organisation is responsible for ensuring that our customers’ payments flow smoothly. The organisation focuses on resolving issues surrounding the movement of funds, to deliver a fast and convenient payment experience for our customers.

As a Senior Payment Operations Analyst, you will be driving our analytics effort to build and optimise data models that are used to identify operational actions and customer friction points in the payment processing journey. You will also work on building an operational forecasting model to predict capacity based on the future workload demand.

This is a great opportunity for an analyst that has strong product thinking, understands customer pain points and is passionate about data modelling and building data pipelines. You will also be part of a wider team of 150+ analysts that you can collaborate with on cross-team projects, have knowledge sharing sessions and bring ideas on how we can improve analytics across Wise.

This is an IC2 role. For more information on our Analytics Career Map and levelling structure, click here.

Here's how you'll be contributing to the team:

  • Collaborate with various senior stakeholders in the organisation and effectively communicate your insights into real change for our customers. Join us in working towards our mission.
  • Support the organisation’s drive to make data-driven decisions through improving the quality of our data assets through building scalable and efficient data pipelines. In addition, build the organisation’s confidence in planning future capacity through developing a robust forecasting model.
  • Proactively contribute to, own, create and track key metrics and results for the organisation, keeping them accountable throughout the quarter. For example, understanding the forecast accuracy, and the data health of our pipelines.
  • Expose the vast amount of data available to the organisation in a meaningful and actionable way and support other teams in discovering insights from data through meaningful reports and effective visualisations.
  • You're placed in Tallinn, Estonia; or are willing to relocate here (please be aware we'll be able to only support with right to work documentation, but not with relocation support).
  • You've strong experience with SQL and building data pipelines. You're comfortable working with complex data models and are able to independently design and implement new models.
  • You've strong quantitative skills. Ideally a background in statistics, mathematics, physics, engineering, analytics, computing, or any other scientific areas.
  • You've strong communication skills and an ability to translate business insights into persuasive analytical narratives that are simple to understand and that drives customer impact.
  • You've an ability to structure business problems with minimal supervision and prioritise problems collaboratively with stakeholders. You take ownership of your own impact on our customers.
  • You're proactive. You go beyond just the analysis and get things done.
  • You've experience with data visualisation tools (Looker, PowerBI, Tableau etc.) and demonstrate confident storytelling ability with data.

Nice-to-have skills:

  • You've experience working in a FinTech area, specifically in the payments space (domestic, cross-border, cards, etc.)
  • You've prior experience working with forecasting, and working in operational analytics
  • You've experience with user-facing products and data
  • You've strong Python and/or dbt skills

Sounds like the next step for you? Apply by submitting your CV in English, and answering application questions!

PS! For this role we won't be able to support with relocation costs, only with right to work documentation (e.g. working visa).

For everyone, everywhere. We're people building money without borders  — without judgement or prejudice, too. We believe teams are strongest when they are diverse, equitable and inclusive.

We're proud to have a truly international team, and we celebrate our differences.

Inclusive teams help us live our values and make sure every Wiser feels respected, empowered to contribute towards our mission and able to progress in their careers.
