The Role

Key Responsibilities:

Functional Responsibilities:

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into functional designs and technical solutions .
• Configure D365 F&O modules including Finance, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Procurement, Inventory, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger (GL) .
• Work closely with business users to provide functional expertise , troubleshooting, and guidance on best practices.
• Lead gap analysis sessions and document business processes, functional designs, and system enhancements.
• Assist in system testing, UAT, and training of end users.

Technical Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy customizations and enhancements in D365 F&O using X++, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps .
• Develop and modify SSRS reports , queries, and data entities to meet business needs.
• Perform data migration, data mapping, and data validation using Data Management Framework (DMF) .
• Work on integrations with third-party applications using OData, REST APIs, Logic Apps, Power Automate, and Azure Functions .
• Debug technical issues , analyse logs, and optimize performance of custom functionalities.
• Collaborate with Microsoft Support for issue resolution, updates, and hotfix implementation.
• Ensure security compliance by configuring role-based security, workflows, and approval processes .

Who You Are

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience working as a D365 F&O Techno functional Consultant .
• Strong knowledge of Finance, Supply Chain, and Procurement modules in D365 F&O.
• Hands-on experience in X++ development , extensions, event handlers, and workflows.
• Proficiency in SSRS reporting, SQL Server, and Power BI for analytics and dashboards.
• Experience with Azure DevOps for version control, build/release pipelines, and work tracking.
• Expertise in Data Migration Framework (DMF) and dual-write integration with Dataverse.
• Good understanding of D365 security roles and policies .
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with business users, developers, and Microsoft Support.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate or similar certification.
• Experience working with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
• Knowledge of D365 Commerce, HR, or Project Operations is a plus.
• Experience in LCS (Lifecycle Services) for environment management and monitoring.
