One finding that got less attention than it deserved
In roles heavily exposed to AI, employment for workers over thirty actually rose while the youngest cohort fell.
The usual reading is that experience is the thing being valued, because judgement and oversight are what is left when implementation is cheap. If that holds, the advice to juniors is uncomfortable but clear. Get into a room with senior people early, even if the title and the money are worse than you wanted.

- The market is not shrinking so much as changing shape, and the aggregate numbers hide that
- When response rates fall, the instinct is to apply to more roles. It usually makes things worse
- The junior squeeze is real, and pretending otherwise does not help anyone
- Using AI to write your applications is now normal, and it is quietly making applications worse
- Roughly half of employers now use AI somewhere in resume screening
- Ghost postings are not a conspiracy theory anymore, and the numbers are worse than most people assume
