  • Location: Fully Remote, Global

  • Workload: Approximately 15 hours per week

  • Compensation: $60–$120 per hour

  • Payment Structure: Output-based, with payment for tasks meeting project specifications

About the Role

We are seeking Applied Scientists with advanced machine learning expertise to contribute to AI training projects focused on model development, training and inference systems, numerical computing, performance optimization, and Python engineering.

This is a highly technical, coding-intensive role involving the development, implementation, review, and validation of challenging machine learning tasks. You will build reproducible workflows, optimize computational performance, and troubleshoot numerical or system-level failures while ensuring solutions meet defined correctness and performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate machine learning models, training pipelines, inference systems, and supporting infrastructure.

  • Implement model components, data pipelines, evaluation systems, and numerical methods.

  • Build reproducible training and inference workflows using Python and command-line tools.

  • Debug numerical, implementation, and system-level failures.

  • Optimize memory usage, computational throughput, and overall performance.

  • Create, solve, review, and validate technical tasks against objective specifications.

  • Incorporate coding agents into Python-based development workflows.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a closely related quantitative discipline.

  • Strong professional or research experience in machine learning.

  • Practical proficiency in Python and coding agents.

  • Ability to implement, debug, and evaluate complex machine learning solutions.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to technical correctness.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at an established technology company, AI laboratory, research organization, or comparable engineering environment.

  • Significant academic research or open-source contributions demonstrating relevant technical expertise.

  • Experience with model training and inference, numerical computing, performance optimization, or reproducible machine learning workflows.

Compensation and Work Arrangement

The contract offers $60–$120 per hour, with payment based on completed tasks that meet project specifications. Task duration may vary, and minimum submission requirements apply.

The expected workload is approximately 15 hours per week, with flexible scheduling, including weekends if preferred.

Selection Process

  1. Submit an application and complete the screening questions.

  2. Complete an AI interview of approximately 30 minutes.

  3. Participate in a hiring manager review.

Start Timeline

Selected candidates should be prepared to begin their first task within 24–48 hours of completing onboarding.
