About the Role

We are seeking native and near-native English speakers to participate in a voice recording project supporting the development of AI speech systems. You will read provided English text aloud, follow detailed recording guidelines, and submit clear, high-quality audio files.

The role is suited to individuals with natural spoken English, consistent pronunciation, and strong attention to detail. You should be comfortable reading written material aloud smoothly while maintaining appropriate pacing and following instructions precisely.

Previous AI experience is not required. Professional voiceover or audio recording experience is an advantage but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Read provided English prompts aloud accurately and naturally.

• Follow pronunciation, pacing, and recording instructions for each task.

• Read answer choices when requested without adding personal responses or interpretations.

• Record and submit clear audio files using the designated tools or platform.

• Maintain consistent clarity, enunciation, and pacing across recording sessions.

• Re-record and resubmit audio that does not meet quality requirements.

• Flag unclear prompts, ambiguous wording, or technical issues rather than guessing.

• Communicate with project coordinators to clarify instructions and maintain recording quality.

Required Qualifications

• Native or near-native English proficiency.

• Clear, natural spoken English and the ability to read written text aloud smoothly.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions consistently.

• Access to a quiet recording environment with minimal background noise.

• A reliable internet connection.

• Access to a smartphone or computer capable of recording clear audio.

• Ability to work independently and submit recordings on schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in voiceover, audiobook narration, speech recording, or similar voice-related work.

• Familiarity with audio recording tools and basic recording quality standards.

• Ability to maintain consistent delivery across multiple recording sessions.

You will need:

• A smartphone or computer capable of producing clear audio recordings.

• The ability to follow project-specific recording and submission guidelines.

Compensation

The hourly rate is $20–$70, equivalent to approximately $38,400–$134,400 per year at 1,920 working hours annually. This annualized figure is for comparison only; actual earnings depend on assigned work, recording time, and project requirements.
