Job description
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, highly responsible, and hands‑on Estate Manager / House Manager to oversee the complete day‑to‑day operations, maintenance, upkeep, and services of a 3‑acre private farm house in Chattarpur. The incumbent will manage a team of approximately 40 employees and ensure the property, residence, gardens, infrastructure, utilities, and support services are maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Estate & Property Management: Oversee day‑to‑day functioning and upkeep of the 3‑acre farm house. Ensure property, buildings, external areas, utilities, and facilities remain clean, functional, safe, and well‑maintained. Conduct regular inspections, coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensure facilities are ready as per CMD and family requirements.
- Team Management: Directly manage and coordinate a team of ~40 employees. Plan manpower deployment, shifts, duties, leave, and daily responsibilities. Monitor attendance, discipline, grooming, conduct, and performance. Train, guide, and motivate staff; handle staff‑related issues.
- Department Oversight: Supervise plumbing & maintenance, electrical & mechanical maintenance, horticulture & landscaping, façade/external building maintenance, housekeeping and other estate‑support functions, and coordination with external vendors.
- Horticulture & Landscaping: Ensure proper maintenance of lawns, gardens, plants, trees, and landscaped areas. Coordinate watering, pruning, plantation, pest control, fertilization, and seasonal maintenance.
- Maintenance & Engineering: Monitor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, water supply, drainage, pumps and other systems. Ensure preventive maintenance schedules, coordinate specialized repairs, maintain records, and attend to breakdowns promptly.
- House & Guest Readiness: Prepare residence and relevant areas as per CMD/family requirements. Coordinate teams before visits, events, or gatherings to ensure high standards of cleanliness, presentation, functionality, and service.
- Vendor & Contractor Management: Coordinate with external contractors, technicians, suppliers, and service providers. Monitor quality, timeliness, and compliance with property rules and safety requirements.
- Inventory & Cost Control: Monitor consumption and availability of maintenance and estate‑related materials. Maintain stock levels, minimize wastage, and keep appropriate records.
- Safety & Security Coordination: Ensure basic safety standards, coordinate with security personnel, identify risks, and handle emergencies efficiently.
- Reporting & Administration: Maintain daily/weekly operational reports, report issues, expenditure, and incidents to management, and ensure instructions from CMD/management are implemented promptly and discreetly.
Candidate Profile
Education: Graduate or Diploma in Facility Management, Hospitality Management, Engineering, Hotel Management, Property Management, or related field preferred.
Experience: 8–15 years of relevant experience in estate management, luxury residential property management, private farm house management, facility management, hospitality, or similar environment. Experience managing a large team of 30–40+ employees is highly preferred. Experience with high‑value private residences, luxury estates, farm houses, palaces, hotels, or large residential properties is an advantage.

Working Conditions
Working Hours: 9 hours per day. Working Days: 6 days per week. Weekly Off: Sunday. Must be flexible with timings and willing to extend or adjust hours based on CMD/family requirements, events, emergencies, or operational needs. Role requires a hands‑on, highly responsive, service‑oriented approach.
