Remote Order Entry Specialist

A Remote Order Entry Specialist is responsible for entering, reviewing, and processing customer orders accurately using computer systems while working from home. The role typically involves data entry, order verification, customer service, and coordination with sales, inventory, and shipping teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter customer orders, purchase orders, and product information into company databases or order management systems.

• Review orders for accuracy, including product numbers, quantities, pricing, shipping addresses, and billing details.

• Verify customer information and resolve order discrepancies.

• Process new orders, changes, cancellations, and returns according to company procedures.

• Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding order status and delivery timelines.

• Maintain accurate electronic records and protect confidential customer information.

• Monitor pending orders and follow up on delayed or incomplete transactions.

• Meet daily productivity, data accuracy, and customer service goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus.

• Strong typing, data entry, and computer skills.

• Attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage time and work independently in a remote environment.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and order management or ERP systems is beneficial.
